This morning, the big boy was at school, the little boy was still asleep, the husband had just rode off to work, and I was drafting up some knitting patterns. I got the sudden urge to sew. For some reason, I really wanted a Texas to squeeze.
So.
I made one.
I just drew it on the back of some fabric (folded over), pinned it and sewed on the line. It took forever to stuff, but in the end it’s a sweet huggy shape and I can’t wait for my kiddo to get home from school. He kind of loves the shape of Texas. Who doesn’t?! No matter what you think of the actual state, it’s a bad ass shape.
And oh so squeezeable.
Aw, too cute. Texas needs a hug. It’s so dry and sad here!! Whenever you or your boy get’s home, tell them to wish rain for us whenever you give it a squeeze!
p.s. we do have an awesome shape, don’t we!?
I’m in Houston, so yeah…we miss rain, too! My backyard crackles when I walk over the grass. It’s like hay. :(
I love that you are so creative! What a cute little Texas, and it sure does need a hug! Great work!
Thank you, Marvett!
And thank you for hopping over from Flickr! :)
That is so awesome. I love it. Now I want to make one. I need more squeezables in my life.
Yes! I’ll just say Texas was the perfect shape for squeezing when I nodded off during this morning’s Sesame Street.
I bet I have a couple of pillows in the house nearly the shape of Colorado or Wyoming. Texas always looked like some kind of animal to me when I was a kid. I guess that’s why it looks so snugly.
I’ve been hunting for this information for a long time, so thank you so much; the article’s content has been really helpful to me in my work.
