I was feeling a little uninspired, this week. So, today, I started taking photos of some of the things around me. I’m surrounded by a lot of beauty. Things I don’t really even think about.
I started knitting this shawlette, today. I have a specific person in mind for it. I’m knitting it with comforting thoughts in mind. I really hope they translate into warmth and love in my stitches. I want this someone to know they were and are in my thoughts.
I find comfort in knitting it. The stockinette stitch is almost mindless, so I don’t have to think about the pattern. It leaves space for the thoughts that matter.
And can I talk about the color for a moment? Oh my! I am in love with this colorway. I’m in love with the yarn! Malabrigo sock in ‘Lettuce’. It is gorgeous. My photos do it no justice. I bought it from someone on Ravelry. That place is SUCH an amazing resource.
I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!
Oh, lovely!! :) The color is gorgeous – as is all the love you’re putting into it! Happy weekend, Lisa!
That’s really lovely.
malabrigo ‘lettuce’ is indeed a gorgeous green! my favorite malabrigo colourway is ‘frank ochre’.
i too love the mindless simplicity of stockinette stitch… just knit & be.
I just came across your site a few weeks ago and I love it and your creativity. I’m just learning how to knit, although I crochet a little bit. I find your blog “refreshing” :)
I love, love, love that color by the way :) And thanks for posting the ravelry link. Pure awesomeness.
i love the color of that yarn – my fave :)
lovely photos!
The color attracted me instantly! I love bright greens.
I honestly believe that one can knit blessings and love into garments for those that need it.
i love this colour!
