After many sweaty days and bathtub whines, I practically begged this one to get a haircut!
OK. OK… so, I bribed him with a buck. That explains his cheery disposition at the noisy clippers getting run through his thick locks.
In the excitement, I forgot to grab a sheet on the way out to the backyard. You know, a sheet to protect his neck, shoulders, elbow joints, knees, underwear, etc. from little pieces of hair. D’oh! If you ever doubted my mother-of-the-year status……..!
Now, I need to figure out the plan for the baby’s hair. Oh, I love the shagginess of their heads, but gosh I do hate bath time. Yes, I’m probably the only parent in the world to say that, but I DO. I’ve never liked giving baths and the long hair just prolongs them. Andy’s hair is so fine, I think the clippers wouldn’t work. I may just have to start cutting with scissors and then try the clippers then. Any input? Cutting super fine hair at home with little to no skill? I hope a nice trim will get his strands to thicken up a bit.
aww. So Elliott has decided he wants his hair to grow “wong” just like Faith’s. We’re gonna let it go til he says he wants it cut.
When I got in the car at the airport yesterday he said he wants me to cut his hair so it doesn’t get “rectangles”. This morning he told me he was just teasing.
And all that didn’t really have a point except to say that my kid’s really cute. So are yours.

Congratulations for giving your baby a haircut without having a fight first. :) I remember my older brother trimming my cousin’s hair when we were still kids. His mom and dad have tried several times to cut his hair and send him to the barber but it all failed. When my brother invited him to play a barber’s game then he willingly let him cut his that time. Although it didn’t look that good of course since my brother is 6 years old that time and hes not a barber, at least he got trimmed. Most of the time bribes and making it just like a play are more effective than using force :)
My mom used to cut my hair on the same kind of chair outside when I was that age…brought back a lot of memories! Thanks so much for sharing :-)
He looks great in the big hair.still he is looking good.when I was child my mom cuts my hair liked that way but I was cry when she cut it.
