I began working on these yesterday afternoon, crocheting whenever I had a little break. they’re surprisingly quick to make. I’ll be using some yogurt cups to make little containers [for candy, i think] as party favors for the boys’ birthday party next month. I’m undecided on the base. my first thought was to crochet them with some brown (chocolate cupcakes, anyone?) yarn, but my aunt said i should just use some decorative paper. that would be easiest, but I like the cushy feeling of yarn cupcakes!

I had been wanting to make a giant-granny square afghan for a while (like this one @ the purl bee), but then I decided I didn’t really like it with the colors I had, so I switched patterns at the last moment.
