It has become increasingly more difficult to be crafty with my baby around. He’s not really a baby anymore, but rather a toddler–and a grabby one at that! It doesn’t help that everything he gets his chubby little hands on goes straight to his mouth. This includes, but is not limited to: crochet hooks, knitting needles (!), wool (i.e. FELT-ABLE) yarn, books, and printouts. Pretty much anytime I want to make something he has to be asleep or otherwise pre-occupied with more toddler-suitable playthings.
these came out so cute I could punch somebody. I made ~3 dozen. They’re packaged and ready for my boys’ birthday party tomorrow! they were made following the tutorial on bakerella’s blog. I didn’t dip the tops, though. instead, I just swirled the candy with a bottle. makes it look like they’re really frosted! (devil’s food cake mixed with cream cheese frosting for the insides)
I finished the cupcakes for my boys’ birthday party (this weekend!). I made 14 and am thinking of making one or two more, in case we get any surprise guests. I recycled yogurt cups, so these actually are little containers! see? |
