A beret.

365.372: beret plateberet [2]

Pattern: improvised. I WAS going to make Le Slouch by knit and tonic, but I decided to change things up. I’ve made a beret before, afterall! see? I started with 72 stitches and a twisted rib. I increased (over a few rounds) to 120 and knit for about 6.25″ before starting my rapid decreases (12 stitches each round).
Needles: US 8 throughout.
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft in ‘Charcoal Heather’

365.272: yarny pumpkins

I found this fabulous tutorial for apple yarn favors. Since October is like 2 days away, we made pumpkins! We also made an apple, and a tree. They’re super easy!

365.267: gray wolf

newborn wolfie hat/bonnet/cap/whathaveyou! kinda makes me want a newborn.

only not. :P

365.264: cross-stitch monday

I think it’s interesting that knitting the same stitch over and over can get so monotonous, yet cross-stitching is really fun. I mean, it’s just a bunch of tiny X’s. It should be the boring monotonous craft. But it’s not. I really dig it! It’s definitely a good breastfeeding craft, too! No worries of stabbing baby eyes with long sticks.

365.262: jar o’yarn

say hello to my scrap jar! I shoved a bunch of bits in there. It’s mostly wool, with some cotton at the top. It’s destined to be scrappy hats. Autumn starts tomorrow!
