I carried around two bags, this holiday weekend: a camera bag and a knitting tote. Like my last post said, my cameras didn’t even get used! Bummer.
My tote just had my knitting project, some construction paper, and crayons. My big bag, on the other hand…
[starting at top left]
my wallet
Instax 210
extra film
x-stitched “dinero” coin purse
extra underoos for my toddler
a tiny moleskine
various writing utencils
lens cap to represent my D40
lens cleaning tissues
dry shampoo
external flash
remote for my camera
lightsphere
lip gloss
advil
All that and my D40 fit into this baby:

Aside from the obvious–family, friends, etc.–something that means a lot to me is my ability to create. I love to knit and crochet and make things with my hands. It means a lot that I can make things with a simple piece of string!
This was my shot for Project 365 on Thanksgiving day. It is usually a day for family. I bring along my camera with the best intentions of getting lovely shots of people enjoying each other, but then I end up being one of those people and my camera stays safely tucked in my bag. I only remember it when we’re already on our way across town to visit even more family. I know the same thing is going to happen–I’ll get lost in conversations and chasing littles around and my camera will stay in its place–so I take a photo of what I do between meals. Knitting.

crafting with my little one. Oh, the day he asks me to teach him to knit, or crochet, or even sew–that will make my life.
He’s on Thanksgiving vacation for this whole week. Today, we made winter hat ornaments from the tutorial I posted yesterday, by Kate. You should really check it out! My first grader got a hang of it fairly quickly! He even taught my sister how to make them, this evening.

“If you make that stupid face too often, IT WILL STICK.”
Oh, also. How dapper is my little fella? We went to a baby shower, yesterday. He was a charmer–blew raspberries on all the pretty ladies’ faces.

p.s. I am accepting December sponsors! Goodknits has grown so much this month and I am happy to have the lovely blogs in my sidebar. See [THIS PAGE] for more information. There are going to be TWO sizes available next month!

I am here with some amazing news! Lace Love is complete! I received the booklets yesterday evening. I am without words.
OK, I suppose I do have a few!
The books were printed locally in Houston with funds I received from this month of sponsorship and recent Etsy sales. So, a huge huge THANK YOU to everyone who has shown their support and who has encouraged me to keep going with this project. My PayPal account is empty, but I am so happy!
You can purchase the printed booklet from my shop! Each printed version will ALSO receive a PDF link (emailed within 24 hours) and a few extra goodies from me in the mail. I will release a PDF-only version at the end of next week, but this printed copy is only a few bucks more, so why not? It’s pretty and tangible. You’ll get the PDF anyway. :)
I have set up a Lace Love book page, [HERE]. It includes links to individual pattern pages.
Here are some peeks inside the booklet!!
