About
Welcome to goodknits.com. I’m Lisa, mother of one particularly loud toddler, Nathan. He drives me crazy some times, but for the most part he’s my little sweetcheeks, who likes to give random hardcore hugs and kisses. He’s also terribly funny and enjoys nearly everything I make him for at least 2 days. I’m also currently expecting my second son, due May 17, 2008. He’s been stealing all my handknits and creative time for the past few weeks/months.
Don’t let the name of the website confuse you–I really love to knit, but I also thoroughly enjoy crocheting, and I dabble in sewing. Wool is my yarn-fiber of choice and I prefer DPNs over circulars (for now, anyways). My craft table looks like a yarn monster vomitted on it, and the floor underneath looks like it took the brunt of the disaster. I’m going to try to be more organized and neat, but it’s kind of hard when you have too little (or too much) space.
if you’re interested in these sort of details: my sewing machine is a Singer 5050C I got from my aunt; I prefer clover crochet hooks (the ones with the ergonomic design); I have a plethora of Boye Balene knitting needles I love and I’ve made my size 6 & 8 dpns out of wooden dowels, while buying steel ones from knitpicks.com for my socks.
