Ugh. Don’t you just wish you could scratch and sniff your monitor, right now? My mom recently bought a rose bush and they started opening up and smell absolutely divine! You can see more photos on my flickr stream.
They’ve inspired me to make some new brooches for the shop. I’m using a few different colors of yarn and will be choosing some white/shelly/pearly buttons for the centers. I got a lot of them in my jar of vintage buttons from the antique store. They’re some of my favorites and thus have been separated into their own special jar.
These are so wonderful, Lisa. I can smell them..feel them.
Thank you! I was so excited when Andy brought me one. I immediately thought of the mason jar and wanted to photograph it ASAP.
Oh, what a beauty! Is it a “Peace”? We call them “Gloria Dei” in Germany.
I love the pic. Nice for a postcard.
The brooches … i´m curious…

I’m not sure exactly what it’s called, but it is VERY fragrant. from the little bit of Googling I just did, I think it might be a “Double Delight.”
Love your photography……love your blog!
Thanks, gail! Hope you stick around. :)
Fantastic! Perfect inspiration, in my opinion. Can’t wait to see the brooches!
