One-hour neckwarmer

neckwarmer

My son’s last day of school before the Christmas holiday is next week. I wanted to make something easy and cute for his teacher and since it’s getting cold here in Texas, I thought a neck warmer would be fabulous!

Materials:
1 ball Wool-Ease Thick & Quick
Crochet hook, 10.00mm (N)
2 buttons & thread + needle to sew them on
Yarn needle to weave in ends

Abbreviations:
CH: chain
SC: single crochet
DC: double crochet
st: stitch

Pattern:
Ch 12
SC in 2nd loop from hook, *DC in next ch, sc in next ch* repeat from * to end (11 stitches total, row ends in SC)

Pattern row 1: ch 2, *DC in first stitch, SC in next*, repeat from * to end (row ends in DC).
Pattern row 2: ch 1, *SC in first stitch, DC in next*, repeat from * to end (row ends in SC).

repeat these 2 rows for 3 inches, ending on pattern row 2, then start buttonhole row:
*DC in next st, SC in next st* twice, ch 1, skip 1 st, sc in next, ch1, skip next, *SC in next st, DC in next st* twice

Continue repeating the 2 pattern rows (row after buttonhole row would be Pattern row 2) for 30 inches, OR until desired length, OR until you run out of yarn.

Weave in ends and sew on buttons in whatever fashion you desire.

Enjoy!
