Before I made the baby wolf-ish hat, I cast-on in bulky yarn (LB’s wool-ease thick & quick). I knew it would be huge, so I set it aside to work on the baby hat. After I finished it and actually liked the finished object, I went back to work on the other. It is HUGE, but comfy. It has a chin strap, so i can actually take it off and it just hangs to the back, hoodie-like.

what a wonderful idea! i love that it can basically be a hood but still kinda be a cap. may i ask what size needles you used for this, how many balls it took, and also if you followed the pattern exactly?
