Crochet: Glory doily blanket (purple!)   My weekend project was a purple/pink Glory doily blanket. Oh, how I love lace in bright colors! This one is for a baby shower I’m going to, this weekend, but if you’re interested in a doily blanket of your own, see the shop. My next project is going to be a baby blanket for another baby (a boy due in March, but I want to get it done now). Last year, I made a big red blanket for his brother. Crochet is really fast, but these blankets take about 5-6 hours total work. I watched a lot of Doctor Who, this weekend.

Ha! I don’t think so. I just stay up waaay too late watching TV with my husband. If I were able to sit uninterrupted and crochet this, it would take about 6 hours!

No! I actually don’t block the ones made from acrylic. I just don’t have a space wide enough for it, so I taped it to the wall. :)

Oooh – love the color you made this in! :) I used your lovely patterns to make my friends baby a ‘Willow’ doily blanket (I think that’s the one…), I made it out of chunky pink yarn and it was to-die-for! Yay, crocheting!

Nooo! NOT me! This was for a friend and the next blanket will be for my cousin who’s due in March.
I was really contemplating making another using the same stitch, but I thought I’d mix it up and use some chevrons, this time.
