It kind of feels like that. At the same time, though, it feels like I’m not getting anything accomplished. I’m trying to make enough to comfortably stock a shop. I have a few pairs of Mary Jane slippers, cushion covers, hats, and yo-yo pins. It just doesn’t feel like that’s enough.
That’s a sneak peek at the cushion/pillow covers. They fit a 16×16 inch pillow form. I actually wouldn’t mind if they didn’t sell. I really dig the colors and general look. Granny squares for the win!
On a more personal note, we found a house we like. Just waiting on some forms from the seller and then we can make an offer. Who knew that would make me more neurotic? I felt like I was losing my mind, today! It didn’t help that Andy is at the tail-end of a cough. He’s been extremely grumpy and….sensitive?…lately. It’s like everything we do hurts his feelings and he has a meltdown. I sure hope this isn’t the terrible two’s already. I hadn’t realized how close we’re getting to his birthday. He turned 22 months the other day. AH!
I can’t wait for you to stock your shop. I need to learn how to do granny squares. I learned how to crochet years ago but I haven’t done it in soooo long.
& Otto’s not quite 15 months & is turning into a total terror with the meltdowns. The next few years are gonna seem really long.
I think Andrew is learning from the best tantrum-thrower: Nathan. He’s growing out of it, but he can still pitch a mean fit.
Crocheting is so relaxing at night! I tend to do most of it when the babe’s asleep and then after bedtime. I neglect my husband. waaaaaah!
Well, I have my shop pretty well stocked, but I am still constantly crocheting because people will say, “Can you make those in a size 9-10 instead of the 7-8 that you have stocked,” or…”I love X item, but can you make it in black instead?” So my advice would be just to get out there and start your shop with what you have…then add to it. :)
But I feel ya with the crocheting your life away…I have a 2 and 3 yr old..and I don’t want them to remember their childhood as always having to entertain themselves while momma was busy with her hooks and yarns. :(
thanks for the motivation! I need to start snapping photos of the things I’ve made. I also want to knit a few things. afterall, this is goodknits. ;)
I do most of my crafting during movies, naps, and after bedtime. Also, whenever anyone wants to play with my kiddos, I take them up on the offer!
I love the warm tones!
thank you! the darkest color is some vintage yarn I found at a thrift store YEARS ago. It’s been sitting in a box, waiting for inspiration to strike.
