I FINALLY learned English knitting, so the colorwork was actually enjoyable! I am going to be carrying my graph paper notebook to jot down ideas for more hats. This one matches Nathan&#8217;s school uniform, so it&#8217;s his. He likes it.<\/p>\n<p>I used the color pattern practice hat instructions from Elizabeth Zimmermann&#8217;s <u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0942018001\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=goodknits-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=217145&#038;creative=399369&#038;creativeASIN=0942018001\">Knitting Workshop<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0942018001&#038;camp=217145&#038;creative=399369\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/><\/u>. I messed up a bit on the last color repeat, but it&#8217;s hardly noticeable. It was a super easy knit. I realized Zimmermann&#8217;s books read like blogs. There are diagrams to help you out and asides on how to make things bigger or other ways to knit it.
