Gauge is unimportant with this sort of lace, but the looser the better.<\/p>\n<p><b>Materials<\/b><br \/>\n\u2014Approximately 800 yards worsted\/aran<br \/>\n\u20146.5mm (US K) for worsted\/aran<br \/>\nNeedle for weaving in ends<\/p>\n<p><b>Test yarns used<\/b><br \/>\n3 skeins Loops &#038; Threads &#8216;Impeccable&#8217;<br \/>\n3 skeins Red Heart Soft (omitting picot edge or using J hook and pattern as-is)<\/p>\n<p>Medium doily (~25&#8243; diameter): 1 skein Araucania &#8216;Itata Multi&#8217; &#038; 3.75mm (US F) hook<br \/>\nSmall doily (~19&#8243; diameter): 1 ball of Aunt Lydia&#8217;s Cotton thread &#038; 1.75mm hook<\/p>\n<p>U.S. crochet terminology used. Stitches needed: chain, single crochet, double crochet, slip-stitch.
