Hello, friends!
I just wanted to pop in and let you know today is the last day to snag a custom doily blanket if you want it on time for Christmas. I limited the number of blankets to three, but I sped through two at lightning fast speed and so I added another. Two listings remain in the shop, HERE and HERE. If you are in the US, these are guaranteed to arrive to you before Christmas if you order today, maybe tomorrow. After this weekend, I can’t guarantee Christmas arrival, but I will do my best!

I spent my morning photographing and adding two Dory shawlettes to the shop. I really fell in love with this close-up. First, the colors are sweeeet and second, the sun in sparkling on the bottom half. I adore morning light. ADORE!

I think it’s pretty important to support your fellow stitchers and small businesses via Etsy, independent shops, or other websites like that. I am the only knitter I know in the “real world”, so if I want something to wear or accessorize with this winter, I have to make it myself. These were all made during my little obsession with fair isle, a few weeks back. My sons each have one and I have put the others up in the shop. I wrote a pattern for the hats in the bottom row and top center. If anyone is interested in a beginners fair isle pattern, let me know and I’ll get started on a post about it.

And now you can own one. I listed a few doily blankets in the shop, today! Could you believe I’ve crocheted 2 others that aren’t listed? The pattern has reached TV-crochet stage, so I can look up every few seconds and I don’t mess up catastrophically! HOORAY! Now, if only I could make my hands hook those stitches faster. I need robot hands. And maybe a robot brain.

I’m currently pattern-drafting again. I got doily blanket pattern #2 typed up and now I’m developing a different sort of doily-inspired project. Hello, evasive description! I promise to share when I get it just right. I think I want to combine all three of these patterns with a few smaller ones and create a little e-book. Doily Love. How does THAT sound?

I’ve got doilies on the brain so much I spelled the word “doily” TWICE in a single game of Words With Friends, the other day. Gah.

Hello, lovelies!

I’m just stopping by to say I’ve added some postcards to the goodknits shop. I have 8 different sets of 3. I’ve had a lot of fun putting them together. I’m ordering more to send out one to those who sent me their address. I can’t wait to get started on those!

new: bookmarks

I made a few bookmarks using some of my favorite buttons. I kind of love them all! I thought others might, too, so I put some in the shop.

They’re made from an assortment of buttons, new and vintage–mostly the latter. I like how it hangs while I’m reading and the way it looks laying on my book.

Project 365: January & shop talk

I did a re-shoot of one of my favorite products in my shop, at the moment. All that yellow & gold! Big sigh! It’s currently on sale, so snag it while you can. I don’t know when/if I will make more of these.

Cupcakes for you

I added some cupcakes to the shop, today. I created a new cupcake that features some pretty darn adorable ruffly frosting. I couldn’t get over how cushy it looked. These containers are good little trinket boxes and could even function as a pin cushion–tuck your notions inside! You can’t go wrong.

I updated the look of the blog a bit. I got rid of my menu bar (gasp!) and added some buttons to the left sidebar of my crochet tutorials/patterns. I also made a new header for the season of loooove. I LOVE (*snort*) it so much, I’ll probably keep it til my birthday–the first week of March. [Now you can't forget! ;)]
