Love your shot: Favorite Faces

I have two favorite faces, but one is at school, so here’s the other!

It was chilly enough to bust out the handknits, this morning. This is Nathan’s old Ganomy. In case you’re a new reader, Ganomy is my favorite Elizabeth Zimmermann pattern. You can find it in the Knitter’s Almanac. I’ve made 4 in the few years I’ve been knitting. It’s easy and works up quickly.

Anyway! The weather was cool this morning, so Andy and I hung out in the backyard for a bit. The grass was surprisingly dry, so I sat down and shot a lot of photos. I uploaded some of my favorites to Flickr. Andrew was being pretty serious about playing, so I only got a few smiles. This one was my favorite.

The ladies over at Love That Shot are having a link-up. The theme is your favorite face. Today, this one is mine. You should definitely go check out others’. Maybe post your own! I’d love to see.

I had to make ridiculous noises to get him to grin. He was being distracted by his bike, things in the trees, and even wind in the grass! That’s the best tip I have for trying to photograph a distracted toddler–crazy noises. Sing the ABC’s in a deep voice with squeaky pitches! I bet you a buck it works.
